Meet George from Beirut! George’s  grandfather migrated to Lebanon during the genocide of 1915 and George and his siblings were all born in Lebanon.  He has worked in construction (and as a taxi driver) in the past but construction jobs are difficult to find due to competition with the Syrian refugees.  Also, during COVID, his wife lost work and has been unable to find a job since then.  He requested assistance to get a taxi so he could afford health insurance and we said yes!  He got the taxi a little over two months ago and already has a few regular clients, supporting himself and his wife – all thanks to you!
