More good news from those we support in Iraq (and we need good news in these difficult times). We supported Mr Salam Habeeb several years ago to start a bird seed/animal products shop in Qaraqosh, on the Nineveh Plain. It was so successful that someone copied him and opened another shop. Salam has now expanded – selling birds, animal products and farming products. As you can see in the interview which I recorded in August, Salam, speaking Aramaic, the language of Jesus, thanks everyone for their support, and says keeping the faith and heritage of Iraqi Christians in their native land is why he does not want to emigrate. Having a family business is what will keep him there – and all those we support through your generosity! Previously Meet Salam Habeeb, who has a family of 4, in Qaraqosh, Iraq. He requested funds to expand his pet food and equipment store and we said yes. Our first pet venture! In one of the pics, you can see our invaluable helper, Yohanna, who has been there from the beginning helping us distributed funds to those who need them.
