Carpentry

We are excited to announce that through your continued support for Nasarean, we have been able to support our first business in Mosul, Iraq. This is tremendously important because very few Christians have returned to Mosul. There is only one resident priest and many Christians are still afraid to go back. Due to that, we will be somewhat restrained in giving too many details – but it is a carpentry business in the old city, which is still almost destroyed. The owner of the business supports five children and his wife. Mosul (Nineveh in the Bible) was the headquarters of ISIS in Iraq, where the Caliphate was proclaimed by Al Baghdadi. This business is a sign of hope for the Christian community. Fr. Ben will visit Mosul and the Nineveh Plain next week.
