Do you remember Mr. Anwar who spent 35 years in prison and has finally been released and is working to rebuild his life? They were installing the ice cube equipment a few weeks ago and the project has been completed! See his beautiful family that you have directly supported standing in front of the dedication plaque! We are so blessed to be able to help them! 9/19/25 Today, we are back in Syria with a truly special project. Anwar is 75yo and has spent much of his life in prison based on false testimony. His family (wife and 5 children) was not allowed to visit him for the first 13 years of his imprisonment and after that first visit, he saw them only once a year for 30min. The conditions he endured were incredibly harsh and he contracted TB, his health deteriorating rapidly. His family struggled to get him the medicine he needed. After 35 years in prison, he was released following the fall of the Assad regime. He is now trying to rebuild his life, with his children and now grandchildren, at 75 in Al-Qusayr in Homs. He requested funds to start an ice cube business using solar energy. They have installed the energy and filter components and await the actual machine to come shortly. We are so blessed to offer Anwar some dignity and self sufficiency after years of abuse and suffering. God bless you for your support and prayers!
