Give to Project JonahAs I learned so clearly on this last visit in January, the great fear now for Christians, apart from security, is the demographic exodus caused by lack of work. This is why I am more convinced than ever of the importance of what Nasarean is doing. We do not make a big show, our logo is nowhere to be seen, it is the mustard seed of the Gospel, which God sees. This week we see pictures of the lovely sweet and pastries shop in Karamles run by George Yakub, pictured with his son. I was in the town of Karamles in the summer of 2017 right after ISIS had been driven out. It is so important these families have returned and are succeeding. 2/20/23 We are happy to tell you of another successful family business set up in Iraq through your support. George has established a sweet/candy store in the small town of Karamles, Iraq. Karamles was occupied by ISIS and all the Christian families driven out. It is not far from Mosul. Fr. Ben visited it for the first time in 2017 not longer after ISIS had been removed. Many houses were destroyed and the Churches burned and desecrated. There are still only a few businesses there, so this new store is a great boost to the town. Along with the carpenter’s business, this is the second family business Nasarean has helped through Project Jonah – giving life and hope! Thank you for your support! 4/27/22
