GRIZZLY GYM - JOE & ADEL

A very sweet thank you from "Grizzly Gym Joe," Joe Misk, to all "Nasareans" (how he refers to you, our donors - incredibly beautiful and humbling considering we are celebrating Easter!) Thanks to your generosity during Giving Tuesday last Nov, Joe has purchased a Stair Stepper machine, which is increasing their membership & helping cover expenses. It's also an extra perk for staff, so you are helping sustain the business in all areas!

Giving Tuesday 2022: This year we are focusing specifically on supporting businesses in Iraq and Lebanon, either recent start-ups, or businesses that have begun and need our support to thrive. Once again, this can make the difference between a family staying in their homeland, where Christians have been for 2000 years, or leaving and adding to the world migration crisis. Our friend Joe, who runs the Grizzly Gym in downtown Beirut, which was badly damaged by the port explosion last year, needs additional help to keep his business running - he has 9 employees - so 9 families will be assisted.

Meet our friend Joe, who runs the Grizzly Gym in Beirut. He now has 9 employees. His business was severely damaged by the terrible explosion last year - and through your generosity, we helped him rebuild. His personal video message is very touching! Everywhere we went, people were grateful for the specific focus of Nasarean, supporting family businesses so people stay. It appears this is quite unusual, which was the reason for their gratitude, which is both humbling and encouraging! We want to do more - with your help! God bless!

Finally we have the good news to share that, through your generosity, we have been able to start helping two businesses in Beirut, Lebanon. The second is the business of Adel Misk - he runs a small gym which was very badly damaged by the explosion - his house was also damaged. He has six full-time employees, so we are supporting a number of people with this donation. Once again, Project Jonah aims to keep Christians in their own countries - running businesses and supporting their families.
