Are we in the “second wave of secularization” as the late Sir Roger Scruton said? A second, more serious wave attempting “to rid the world of the sacred”?  The Lord warned Isaiah there would be a time when people will “call evil good and good evil; they will substitute darkness for light and light for darkness.” (Is. 5:20)
