Fr. Ben met with Bishop Athanasius to prepare for the shrine installation. He also visited a gulag today - a very powerful experience. To quote St. John Paul II on his visit to Astana in Sept, 2001: “In heart & spirit I relive the unspeakable trials of all those who suffered not only physical exile & imprisonment, but public ridicule & violence because they chose not to renounce their faith.” We will have pics from that visit soon.
