Much of what is going on in the world can lead us to discouragement - yet that is a temptation Christians must fight against. It is most certainly a temptation - but one which leads to lack of hope and ultimately despair. The Christian needs to hear the voice of Christ, “let not your heart be troubled” - an echo the words of St. Teresa of Avila - “let nothing disturb thee, nothing afright thee."
