Extreme situations, such as loss of loved ones and imprisonment, is no bar to God's peace as exhibited by the saints. God's peace in our lives does not mean the absence of anything that would frustrate or cause pain. Fr. Ben reminds us that true peace is available to us all: "Prayerful supplication and thanksgiving and complete trust in the reality of the Resurrection, and critically the dismissal of anxiety, will give us that transforming peace; but it will only grow as our faith grows and so we must pray for it."
