Having witnessed bloody persecution of Christians at firsthand in Iraq and Syria, it can sometimes be embarrassing to claim Christians are being persecuted in the West. Yet a growing intolerance is happening, with attacks on buildings and persons. St. Peter tells us if we are “upbraided for the name of Christ,” we are “blessed and honoured:” certainly gives us a different perspective!
